Recognition

We recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of individuals and organisations dedicated to enhancing the lives of older New Zealanders. Many people aged 65 and over are also leading fulfilling and meaningful lives, often making a difference in their communities.

If you or someone you know is making a significant contribution to the wellbeing of older people, or exemplifying a vibrant life beyond 65, we’d love to hear from you. Sharing these stories not only acknowledges their efforts but also inspires others. Get in touch with us, and we may feature these stories in our Seniors newsletter or our social media channels.

Nominate Someone for a New Zealand Royal Honour

You can nominate individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to their community for a New Zealand Royal Honour. These national honours recognise exceptional service and achievements across Aotearoa.

To learn more about the nomination process and access the nomination form, visit the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet's website: Make a Nomination. Anyone can make a nomination.

By recognising and celebrating these contributions, we can help foster a society where everyone feels valued and empowered to participate fully.
